James (Jim) Bertram

Jim is a Sr. Advisor to CSO and clients after serving 13 years with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority "GTAA" as Director of Public Safety. Prior to joining the GTAA, Jim served with the Peel Regional Police Service for 27 years and was a distinguished criminal investigator having risen through the ranks to Deputy Chief at retirement.

In this position with the GTAA, Jim oversaw the total security and safety perspective for Canada's largest airport, including airside safety, airport policing, emergency medical and fire services through to, in recent times, Executive Advisory to the Board and Senior Staff for matters of Safety and Security, including Risk Management and internal issues.

Jim is a member of both the Canadian and Ontario Chiefs of Police and the former Chairperson of the Airports Council (CAC) Security Committee, a former member of both the Public Safety and Security Steering Committee of ACI-NA (Airports Council International - North America) and of Canada's Advisory Council on National Security.
